I’m Amber, a photographer for people who want effortless, timeless photos that are brimming with personality and emotion (that’s you!).

Like most photogs, I was a creative kid. I grew up obsessively flipping through family film albums, drawing and putting on shows for my mum in the lounge. I was always finding something to create. 

However my love for photography started at 8, with my sister’s digital camera. From there, it was all about snapping anything and everything. Fast forward to now, after moving from Melbourne to New Zealand in 2019 (all thanks to falling for a Kiwi!), I realize just how much really great photos matter.

Let me give you a short-story long... During lockdowns (hello 2020), flipping through photos was my escape from thinking I would never see my family again. And some of them highlighted just how powerful authentic, emotion-filled images are. Some of my travel photos could transport me right to the place I’d once been. And my sister’s wedding photos held so much love and emotion.

This wasn’t the case with every photo I looked at...

Family portraits of us as kids were awkward and overly posed - did we even like each other? My Nanna’s wedding photos had zero emotion. And you could really tell when people were being forced to be there (my poor dad & brother).

So when I started to think about my photography style…

I knew

I wanted to focus on real moments, genuine smiles and let people enjoy themselves..

I knew

I didn't I didn’t want to capture stiff, posed and awkward photos.

So that’s why I’m here—

To be the photographer that understands your vision, but also makes you feel at ease, confident and ready to enjoy your BEST DAY EVER!
